Emily Monosson, Ph.D., Toxicologist, author and adjunct professor at University of Massachusetts-Amherst. Today's global environment is saturated with unnatural toxins produced by human activity such as mining, agriculture, industry, medicine. These toxins affect all living organisms. In her two books, Dr. Monosson considers why some organisms sucessfully adapt (monster weeds, bed bugs, mosquitos) in a time when extinctions are accelerating. See the video of Emily Monosson's 4/22/15 SftPublic lecture Evolution and Environmental Toxins
